The Mummy’s Place International Nursery and Primary School, has called on the stakeholders in the sector to rise to the occasion and rescue the education sector from collapsing.
The proprietor of the school, Dr. Damilola Oshin, said the education sector needed proper funding, and there was a need for the collaborative efforts of all the stakeholders to raise the standard.
She stated this during an official reception organized for the school by the state government to celebrate the award won by the school as the best private nursery and primary school in the country in the last 2022 World Teachers Day ceremony.
The event took place at the State Ministry of Education, Akure.
She said, “Education is everybody’s responsibility, “We should raise the moral standard of the children, while the government should try as much as possible to keep the support.
“We know we have dwindling resources, and that’s where the private schools come in. Rich people and philanthropists should come to the rescue and help lift the education standard by providing money because money is essential in driving the education sector.”
While presenting the award to the state government, Oshin expressed gratitude to the government for providing an enabling environment for the school to thrive.
