The National Examinations Council (NECO) said Thursday that the November/December 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination results had been released.
The news was made in Minna, Niger state, by Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the Registrar of NECO.
The head of NECO said that 59,124 people took the test, with 31,316 men (52.96%) and 27,808 women (47.03%).

The head of NECO said that 59,124 people took the test, with 31,316 men (52.96%) and 27,808 women (47.03%).
Wushishi also said that 58,012 people took the English Language test, and 44,162 of them, or 76.13 percent, got Credit or higher. Of the 57,700 people who took the Mathematics test, 43,096, or 74.69 percent, they have earned Credit or higher.
He also said that 33,914, or 57.36 percent of the candidates, got at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
“Also 46,825 candidates, representing 79.20% got five Credits and above irrespective of English Language and Mathematics,” he said.
When he talked about cheating on exams, he said, “11,419 candidates were booked for various forms of malpractice is, as against 4,454 in 2021, which shows a sharp rise in the number of malpractice cases”.
He says this is mainly because the monitoring officers have improved their plans and methods.
“This led to the blacklisting of four supervisors, one each from Rivers and Plateau States and two from Ogun State for aiding and abetting as well as poor supervision,” he said.
The 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination, External, was given by NECO from November 21 to December 21, 2022, according to The PUNCH. It is being released today, 57 days after the test.
Wushishi said more about the test by saying that, just like in 2021, it was a test of 29 subjects.
