The Oyo government has suspended a female student of Jericho High’ School, Ibadan, for hiring thugs to beat up parents and teachers during a PTA meeting.
The commissioner of Education Rahman Abiodun Abdu- Raheem disclosed this in a statement in Ibadan.
Abdu-Raheem said the girl in the company of her mother invaded the school with thugs, assaulting a male student, teachers and other parents during the PTA meeting.
” The mayhem was said to be ignited by the girl’s mother and other accomplices, thereby causing tension in the school. The state government is taking further action to serve as a deterrent to other unguided parents and wards”. Said the commissioner.
Mr Abdu- Raheem appeal for caution, pointing out that the Oyo government has zero- tolerance for impunity. (NAN).
