During a special Jumat ceremony marking his inauguration for a second term, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State announced his administration’s ambitious plan to construct the largest children’s hospital in Africa.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of inclusivity, stating, “We will design all our policies and programs to ensure everyone is carried along and catered to.”
Furthermore, the governor highlighted the significance of prayers for leaders, acknowledging the profound impact their actions have on collective welfare. He urged Nigerians to pray for divine guidance for both themselves and their leaders, as the future of children depends on effective governance.
Sheik Muaz Habeeb, the chief imam of Shitta Mosque, Lagos Island, echoed the sentiment of trusting in God and praying for leaders. He cautioned against cursing leaders and encouraged continued support for the new administration.
