The University of Lagos (Unilag) Central Examination and Time table committee held an online meeting on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 to fine tune modalities for meeting up with the lost time as caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the lingered strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
In a statement from the office of the Examination Officer students are informed that;
Online teaching starts on Monday, January 25, 2021, The existing first semester lecture time table will be used for teaching, Online teaching should be interacted and flexible.
Besides, the body mandated that compulsory courses should be two hours per day per level and must be real time teaching. Lecture materials are to be uploaded on the LMS platform before the time allocated for each course.
Moreover, online teaching may be a recorded video/audio, u-tube, or zoom and students must be adequately engaged. Examination will be online and will be closely monitored by camera.
Consequent to the above, the institution through its spokesperson Professor Owolabi Adenuga, Department of Chemical Engineering, has informed students that there will be an icon for students to mark attendance.
Besides, that examinations may come in any of the following formats; OBJECTIVES, IDENTIFY AND FILL IN THE GAPS.
Students will be physically present in school to write some specific examinations strictly adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines.
Only laptops with WECAMS will be allowed for examinations.
