The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA) are collaborating with the Innoson Kiara Academy, Nnewi on a vocational skills development programme.
The programme, which aims at training and equipping youths with employable and entrepreneurial skills will be for six months.
This major initiative of the Public-Private Sector model in Vocational and Technical Skills Training will be conducted in major skill areas: Auto Mechanic; Auto Electrical / Electronic and Air-Conditioning; Auto Fabrication and Welding; Auto Painting and Spraying; and Information and Communication Technology
Applicants for the programme must be between 18-35 years of age and possess any of the following qualifications: Senior Secondary School Certificate; Federal Craft Certificate; or the National Technical Certificate in any of the training trade areas
Selected candidates will undergo a test at a later date. Documents expected to be presented at the test centre include 2 passport size photographs; Original Birth Certificate; Original Educational Qualification Certificate (s); and Original and Photocopy of National ID or Voters Card or Drivers Licence
Successful candidates will enjoy tuition fee free study, lunch and a monthly stipend but they will therefore, be responsible for their accommodation throughout the duration of the programme as the Programme is entirely non – residential.
