UK charity IA-Foundation is set to revolutionize education in Nigeria by establishing entrepreneurial centers across the country. With India, Nigeria, and Pakistan topping the list of countries with the highest number of out-of-school children, according to UNESCO, IA-Foundation aims to empower the millions of Nigerian children currently deprived of education.
In a recent telephone interview, IA-Foundation’s founder and CEO, Ibironke Adeagbo, revealed that the plan to build these centers resulted from her discussions with the newly-elected Mayor of the London Borough of Southwark, Michael Situ. Recognizing the global crisis of out-of-school children, particularly in Nigeria, Adeagbo believes it is time for the international community to take a stand.
To further their cause, IA-Foundation will host a summit in Lagos in October, bringing together an international audience to address Nigeria’s out-of-school issues. The charity’s ultimate goal is to create a better future by engaging President Bola Tinubu and urging him to prioritize education reform.
With Kebbi, Zamfara, and Bauchi States identified as the regions with the highest number of out-of-school children, the challenge is compounded by the ongoing insurgency led by Boko Haram. However, IA Foundation remains undeterred in its mission to tackle the out-of-school menace head-on.
Join IA-Foundation in building a brighter future for Nigeria’s out-of-school children and bridging the educational gap nationwide.
Together, we can make a difference.
