Gunmen invade Plateau University, and attempt to kidnap students but are repelled by security operatives Security operatives at Plateau State University (PLASU) repelled an attempted attack by bandits on Tuesday night. The gunmen reportedly invaded the female hostel of the institution in Bokkos with the intention of kidnapping students but were repelled by local security operatives. According to John Agams, the school’s spokesman, one student was injured during the incident but no student was abducted. The police in Plateau State have yet to comment on the attack.
