The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced that 80,000 candidates who missed their scheduled Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) due to biometric verification issues, mismatched data, and other reasons sat for the rescheduled examination. JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who monitored the exercise, reported that the use of innovative technology had significantly reduced cases of exam malpractice. The board’s management will analyze the results of the rescheduled UTME and make decisions accordingly.
