The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has set its sights on capturing over two million unemployed women and youths in Ebonyi state through its ongoing registration exercise. With the aim of creating a database of unemployed persons across the country, the training will help the government make proper plans for them and ultimately take them off the streets. The Coordinator of the agency in Ebonyi, Mr. Don Anaba, praised the high turnout and emphasized that the program is not an empowerment scheme but a way to fight unemployment. With the federal government’s continued efforts in job creation, the future looks brighter for the unemployed.
