The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has called on the Federal Government to comply with the court order and initiate the appointment process for new rectors for five federal polytechnics. The union expressed its disappointment that over a month after the National Industrial Court ruling, nothing has been done. ASUP President, Mr. Anderson Ezeibe, demanded that the appointments nullified by the court be stopped from parading as rectors. The affected polytechnics are in Cross River, Plateau, Borno, Enugu, and Benue states. The union also called for the conclusion of the appointment process for the rectors of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi and Yaba College of Technology.
