The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has given Lagos State University’s accounting programs a stamp of approval for another three years! In a statement signed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, the professional body renewed the accreditation after the university met all the guidelines for the exercise. The new accreditation will be effective for the 2020/2021 to 2023/2024 academic sessions. Kudos to the Head of the Accounting Department, the Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, and the entire university for this achievement! The first strategic goal of the current administration is now fully realized – ensuring academic and professional programs remain accredited by relevant bodies. And let’s not forget to thank the Lagos State Government for their unwavering support!
