Poly teachers demand promotion arrears

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has asked the states and Federal Governments to immediately release all promotion arrears of its members owed by both federal and state institutions.
Anderson Ezeibe, President of ASUP, in a statement, also demanded the payment of salaries owed by state institutions owned by Abia, Imo, Benue, Osun, Ogun and Edo states.
ASUP described the salary regimes in states like Zamfara, Jigawa, and Bornu state as ‘obsolete’ and urged the mentioned states to release the withheld salaries of its members and implement an appropriate salary regime for them.
The union also asked the Federal Government to rectify all the anomalies associated with and reported in the implementation of the Integrated Personal and Payroll Information System (IPPIS)
