Nigeria Breweries Plc has flagged off this year edition of the Annual Maltina Teacher of the Year Awards with the call for entries from teachers in private and public secondary schools across the country.
Mrs Shade Morgan, NB Plc’s Corporate Affairs Director, stated that because of the rampaging Covid 19 pandemic, opportunities have been provided for contestants from across the country to participate online.
Morgan said teachers ought to be commended and celebrated for their contributions to national development.
Application for the awards opens 30th June, 2020 and closes 14th August, 2020. Free application forms can be filled and submitted through www.maltinateacheroftheyear.com, or the form can be downloaded, filled, scanned and submitted by mail to maltinateacheroftheyear@heineken.com; or posted to Maltina Teacher of the Year, P.M.B 12632, Marina, Lagos.
Forms are also available at all Federal Ministry of Education, Nigeria Union of Teachers and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria Offices nationwide.
Participants are to fill in their Teachers Registration numbers on the forms.
There will be champions from each state of the federation and the FCT from which the overall winner will emerge.
First place winner will win N1,000,000 instantly, N1,000,000 annually for 5 years, capacity development training a block of 6 classrooms in school and N500,000 as State Champion.
